Is there any explanation for this? Minute Maid Coolers Drink Strange Taste?
So today I got some Minute Maid Coolers (some sort of juice pouch drink like CapriSun) for my kid brother. Placed them in the refrigerator for about 3-4 hours. He was thirsty so I took one out and gave it to him. He pretty much reacted instantly to the distinct taste, so I decided to taste it as well. The taste reminded me of a bad wine. Checked the expiration date; it's fine. I know that yeast is utilized to make grape wine; so is this what happened here? Literally, each poach was like this, so.... yeah.
Checked the company site and fermentation may be the cause of the different taste; however, now I want to know whether or not the microorganisms that cause the fermentation may be harmful.
I wouldnt suggest drinking any more of it...
but i wouldnt think that what you have consumed should be of any concern.
unless you are going to get a refund and you need the codes from the packaging, throw them away so no one drinks them.
Oh and dont scare the kid, just dont even tell him anything about it, just pitch them!
