I work as a head chef at a well known London restaurant but have been threatened with the sack!!!?
The toilet we have at work has just one working soap dispenser but its at the very far end of the toilets, and as we are usually rushed off our feet, I sometimes only rinse them, or dont bother at all. This shouldnt be a problem as the meat is cooked at a temperature that will kill off any bacteria anyway.
But yesterday my boss caught me not washing my hands and called me into his office. I tried to explain how the soap was too far away and that it didnt really matter as the foods cooking temperature will kill off any germs, but he wasnt having any of it.
Do you think he's being very fair? I think he still has a bee in his bonnet because he once caught me taking home half a bottle of opened wine that someone had left behind (so it was only going to be thrown out anyway).
